Online Therapy

Your Couch

Is Online Therapy (e-therapy or teletherapy) right for you? Admit it. We live in a fast-paced world and there is never enough time. Would saving on the commute be a HUGE plus for you? Do you love your favorite chair and your view from your own home better than sitting in an office? Do you have other responsibilities (like work or the tiny humans) and it is just hard to get anywhere? This might be the option for you.

What are the benefits of online therapy?

  • Convenience is key. It is available wherever you are and can fit into a smaller time slot in your schedule since you don’t need to commute.
  • Transportation – no need to spend time in the car or gas money to get to and from the appointment, or that frantic call when the car won’t start to get you to the appointment.
  • Comfort of your own home (or office, or car, or wherever you are).
  • Work/life balance becomes just a little bit easier.
  • Finding balance as a caregiver for the little humans, a partner, or another loved one.

Who is it NOT for?

  • Those with a poor internet connection. Can you stream Netflix or Hulu?
  • Someone with recent suicidal or homicidal thoughts.
  • Someone with active substance use.
  • Someone with complex mental health diagnosis which may include auditory or visual hallucinations.
